Non Marine Works
Within our team of fabricators, welders and engineers, we have the knowledge and experience to undertake civil engineering works and have completed a number of projects, often off-site, requiring a high degree of project management, health and safety controls and conformity with strict customer protocols.
We also undertake regular maintenance works on fleet vehicles on behalf of Scotland TranServ and have completed numerous fabrication, hydraulic, and engineering projects on behalf of non-marine customers.
We can repair everything from a cattle grid to a moulded GRP grit box, a sewage tank lid to a cast iron garden bench.
The replacement of the 30 metres steel gangway for S.A.M.S. included removing the old unit and shipping it to Corpach for recycling, modifications to and rebuilding of the concrete shore structure, fabricating and shipping the new 12 tonne gangway to Dunstaffnage, installation of the new gangway from seaward including hooking up the electric and water services and the supply and installation of a cargo winch and trailer system.
The brief for this project excluded the use of craneage to facilitate the removal and replacement of the gangway structure. This was achieved utilising the rise and fall of the tidal range at the site and involved a carefully managed and controlled set of manoeuvres.
The saying “No job too small”, certainly applies at Corpach Boatyard. We aim to provide a service to our local community and are more than happy to accommodate all our customers, whether a national organisation, a small business, or a member of the public. We recognise that small jobs are often the most technically difficult and can cause the most frustration. Our team understand that no two jobs are ever the same and relish the challenge of problem solving to offer our customers a cost effective solution, no matter how small or unusual the job.
