The Management Team

Marine development manager

Donald Hind formed Corpach Boatbuilding Company in 1992. His background is in teaching, sail training and traditional sailing vessels. He maintains sea time now by skippering various charter vessels and undertaking commercial deliveries throughout Europe.  He sold the business in 2018 but is now working for the new owners on the development of Corpach Harbour whilst still working within the Boatyard management team.

Cameron Higgins manages the day to day operation of the boatyard and is the first point of contact for our customers.

Workforce supervision

We have two foremen, brothers Gordon and Willie MacGillivray who assist Cameron with the supervision of the production team. Gordon and Willie have responsibility for implementing our Health and Safety policy, allocating tasks to individual workers, supervising standards and quality control, and liaising with Sandy over customer requirements and job specification.

Tom Gilchrist is responsible for all the purchasing. Tom joined the team in 2011, starting in the yard as a boatbuilder, later moving to the office and taking over the roll of Buyer.

The Administration Team

Our administration team are led by Lynda MacPhee. Lynda has overall responsibility for the management of the office and specific responsibility for accounting and all aspects of financial control. Lynda is assisted by Robert Linton.

The Production Team

Out in the boatshed we have a team of boatbuilders who do the real work, a few of whom have been with the company for more than 10 years. They cover a complete range of skills including marine and general fabrication, hydraulics, electrics, marine and general engineering, woodworking and fitting out, GRP fabrication and repairs, wet blasting and painting. All production employees are familiar with the company’s Health and Safety policy and work within our internal quality control systems. We regularly work closely with MCA and Lloyds Register and 3 of our team are coded Lloyds approved welders.
